What we collect, why, and the choices you have — in plain language.
This Privacy Policy explains what information The Acceptance Reset Method (“we”, “us”) collects when you visit this website or buy one of our digital guides, how we use it, and the choices you have. We keep this deliberately short and plain — the same way we write everything else.
The Acceptance Reset Method is a small independent publisher of self-guided, educational anxiety workbooks. You can reach us any time at support@acceptanceresetmethod.com.
Information you give us. When you download the free guide or buy a kit, you provide your email address (and, at checkout, your name and billing details). If you email us, we receive whatever you choose to write.
Payment information. Purchases are processed by Gumroad, our checkout provider. Gumroad collects and handles your payment details directly — we never see or store your card number. Gumroad’s handling of that data is governed by its own privacy policy.
Information collected automatically. Our host and DNS provider, Cloudflare, processes basic technical data (such as your IP address and request logs) to serve the site securely and reliably. This site also runs the Meta Pixel and the Pinterest tag, which set their own cookies to measure ad performance — see "Advertising" below.
To deliver the products and emails you asked for; to provide support and process refunds; to keep the site secure and working; to send occasional updates or offers if you opted in (you can unsubscribe at any time); and to meet our legal obligations. We do not sell your personal information.
Only the service providers that make the business run, each acting as a processor under its own privacy terms: Gumroad (checkout, product delivery and receipts), Cloudflare (website hosting, DNS and email routing), our email service provider (to send the emails you requested), and — only if you use the support chat — Anthropic (to generate the assistant’s replies) and Resend (to pass a request to a human on to us). We may also disclose information if the law requires it. That’s the whole list.
The “Questions?” button opens an automated assistant. It is not a person, and it says so. What you type is sent to Anthropic (the company behind Claude) to generate a reply, and is used only for that. It is not used to train anyone’s models.
Please don’t type anything you wouldn’t want stored. The assistant is there for questions about the guides, prices, downloads and refunds — not for describing your symptoms or your health. If you do mention how you’re feeling, that counts as special-category health data under UK and EU law, and we handle it on the basis of your explicit consent, given by choosing to type it. You can stop at any time, and closing the tab clears the conversation from your browser.
If you ask for a human, we send a short summary of the conversation to our own inbox via Resend so we can reply to you. If anything you sent mentions your health and you would like it deleted, email support@acceptanceresetmethod.com and we will delete it.
The assistant never gives medical advice, never comments on symptoms, and never discusses medication. If it detects that someone may be in crisis it responds only with emergency and crisis-line numbers, and that response is produced by our own code before anything is sent anywhere.
We promote our guides on platforms such as Pinterest and Meta. To measure how those ads perform, this site runs the Meta Pixel and the Pinterest tag directly. Both are set by Meta and Pinterest respectively, governed by their own privacy policies, and used only to see which ad led to a visit or a download — not to build a wider profile of you. You can control ad personalisation for both in your account settings on those platforms.
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete or export the personal information we hold about you, and to object to certain uses. To exercise any of these, email support@acceptanceresetmethod.com and we’ll respond within a reasonable time. Every marketing email also contains a one-click unsubscribe link.
We keep customer and email records for as long as needed to provide the product, support your purchase, and meet tax and legal requirements — then delete or anonymise them.
These products are intended for adults. The site and its guides are not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16.
Our providers may process data in countries other than yours. Where that happens, we rely on those providers’ safeguards for lawful international transfers.
If this policy changes, we’ll post the new version here with an updated date above. Material changes that affect you will be communicated where appropriate.
